Biography:

Hayley Frazer is an Australian author, illustrator, and creative storyteller whose work champions empathy, resilience, and social literacy. She published her first book at fifteen and continues to create stories that help young readers understand themselves, others, and the world around them.

Her creative practice is shaped by her lived experience with dyslexia and dysgraphia. Hayley is passionate about inclusive education and supporting children who learn differently. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Visual Effects, Entertainment and Design) at Flinders University.

Work with Schools and Libraries

Hayley works with students, educators, and community groups through:

Hayley’s advocacy includes:

  • Code Read Dyslexia Network – Light it Red Gala Dinner Sharing her journey and raising awareness about dyslexia and dysgraphia.

  • Inclusive Education Expo Speaking about her schooling experiences, challenges, achievements, and key messages for teachers.

  • Bullying Prevention Events Participating in “Bullying is NOT OK” and similar programs to promote kindness, resilience, and acceptance.

  • Workshops & Collaborations Partnering with councils, youth programs, and community groups to support creativity, literacy, and wellbeing.

  • Mentorship & Support Encouraging young learners, including mentoring Year 2 students and working alongside respected educators such as Mark Le Messurier.
